                  | DEAF DANE RESCUE

The postings below have been sent all over the internet about Marc Sayer. This man has bred the deaf and blind rescue dogs in his care and has killed/murdered/suffocated at birth their innocent newborn puppies with his own hands.
Marc Sayer should be punished for his crimes against animals. Read below what he has been doing to these poor innocent
creatures of god. How could anyone smother a newborn innocent puppy with their own hands and prevent it from taking the
breath it needs to live and have a life!!!???  Read on and you will see:

Deaf Dane Rescue - Lies, Deceit, Deception and the Truth.  Marc Sayer
is a FRAUD who is abusing and breeding the deaf and blind “rescue”
 dogs in his care.

Deaf Dane Rescue - Lies, Deceit, Deception and the Truth.  Marc Sayer is a FRAUD who is
abusing and breeding the deaf and blind “rescue” dogs in his care. He has killed innocent
puppies by by smothering them to death with his own hands.  He has adopted dangerous
dogs to families with kids and the children were attacked, some of his dogs have   bitten
people on their faces, and Marc Sayer has committed other crimes against animals.

Marc Sayer masquerades as a rescue called "Deaf Dane Rescue". In reality, he takes innocent deaf Danes and Dane puppies from breeders,
shelters and others and many spend their whole lives there with him.  He keeps intact males with unspayed females and often has
"accidental" breedings. But he always knows who the father is, so it is likely not by accident that these dogs are allowed to breed and
then have puppies. Though he professes to rescue deaf and blind Danes, he kills the white puppies because he says that "he cannot be
responsible for them," but it is he who has caused them to be bred.

He recently bred a blind and deaf rescue puppy who was sent to him as a rescue to be spayed and found a good home.  This puppy, Cassie,

had been with him since 16 weeks old, just a baby puppy, but was 18 months old when he chose to breed her, despite the fact
 that she was
deaf and blind, and he never gave her a chance for someone to adopt her and give her a home with love and attention.

We are trying to figure out how Cassie benefitted from the nightmare of being in Marc Sayer's so-called "Rescue.".  As per his own quotes
that are included here, she was attacked (Marc doesn't protect the dogs in his "care" from being attacked by other dogs) and fought with
other unsupervised dogs daily, and she had many new and old scars and cuts and bite wounds everywhere to show for it.” She came as
 an
innocent, deaf, and blind puppy that deserved a whole lot better than Marc Sayer. She became afraid, defensive and aggressive - she
 never
could even see or hear when she was about to be attacked over and over.  And then she was bred!.  She never even had a chance
 at finding
a home because she spent her entire life in a little box on his website called "On Hold". . .  For some reason, like the many other
 dogs in this
box on his website, their lives are "On Hold" too.  Marc Sayer bred her and allowed her to have the puppies and though there
 was rescue
who was wanting to take these sweet puppies and begged Marc not to kill them, he did it anyway.  He casually smothered them inhumanely
to death while he was talking on the phone with the other rescue who was begging and pleading for their innocent lives!  As he
 did it and as
they screamed for their hope to live, he matter-of-factly  explained to the other rescue that he did this because the newborn
 puppies were
white and might be deaf and blind.

Cassie, the unlikely candidate for a "mother dog" being that she was deaf and blind and in a false "rescue", also lost her life because she
became so aggressive.  She bit the transporter several times and the reason for this is likely that she was attacked so many times while
 in
Marc Sayer's horrible care for nearly her entire lifetime of 18 months that she had scars all over her and lashed out to bite as second
 nature.
She was ruined by being in his environment of fight or bite to protect herself and never got the forever home that every little
 puppy should
be promised by a rescue.   She was used and abused by Marc Sayer and died as a result of his misuse of her and the other
 dogs in his care.
And he has bred other "rescue" dogs that we know about and likely many more that are just his ugly little secrets and
 who knows how many
other sweet puppies may have lost their innocent lives too!

You will see some of their stories here too and by the way, Cassie was bred to another dog "Bo" who has also been in his "rescue" for
 at
least a year and is still there....poor thing - WITHOUT BEING ALTERED - How can anyone consider this "rescue"?!  NEITHER FOUND
 A HOME,
IN FACT, HE ONLY ADOPTED ONE DOG THIS ENTIRE YEAR.  WHAT IS HE DOING WITH THESE DOGS???? HE IS BREEDING
 THEM AND
HOARDING THEM BECAUSE HE IS CERTAINLY NOT CONCENTRATING ON ADOPTING THEM.

With his dirty deeds now exposed for everyone to see, Marc Sayer has made a point to immediately wipe Cassie off of his website.  Notice
 if
you go there, she is completely gone without a trace.  What a disservice to the memory of this sweet innocent puppy who was entrusted
into his care as a 'rescue' for the purpose of having a better life.  She is not even "On Hold" anymore.  She has been erased!!!!!  Don't let
Cassie's life have ended for nothing.  Please keep reading the horrors of what is going on at this so called "rescue" and call or email the local
animal control and let them know what you think about this.  Let them know that it is inhumane to smother innocent newborn puppies - let
them know that only a hardened murderer of a person could do such a thing.   Most people would fight to the end to save the life of an
innocent baby puppy and most people would have at least had the morals to realize that Cassie's and Bo's and all of the lives of all the other
dogs in this rescue are not there at the disposal of this selfish man.  They were sent there to find a home, NOT live their lives and die there
 after making him nice puppies!!!

See what Marc Sayer did to Cassie click here; http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146597.   The woman who
 was
attacked wrote this report of the bite incident, see it here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146599.
 He has
also placed dangerous dogs into homes with little children who were then attacked by these dogs.  See the account of one such
 situation
here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146376   He caused another Dane to die by depriving it
 of medical care
for more than a month (see the report of this here: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146397
 and so much
more. See what he did to Chyna who lived her whole life there too and was attacked so much her ears were torn by the other dogs:http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146358, read about the other two dogs he bred and had to give to another
rescue to clean up his messes: http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146415.   Read the individual
 stories and see
what this man has done and what a poor excuse for a rescue this is.

Marc Sayer has been reported to different Animal Controls several times and has currently been reported to the the Lane County Animal
Regulation Authority which is his current Animal Control and each time they are getting close to stopping him like they hopefully will now.
But then he moves and starts all over again in another location.  Which is what he is getting ready to do now too.  PLEASE - FOR THE
 SAKE
OF CASSIE AND ALL THE OTHER CASSIES HE MAY HAVE ABUSED OVER THE YEARS OR HE IS STILL ABUSING NOW - Send your
 letters,
your emails and your phone calls to his current Animal Control (shown below) and ask that this poor excuse for a rescue
 /breeder/animal
                      abuser
be shut down for once and for all!!!!.

Ask yourself again how poor Cassie benefited - search your soul and you will see there was NO BENEFIT , brought to him as a baby herself
and forced to live in an environment where she was repeatedly attacked to the point that she became aggressive and dangerous, unable to
even see and hear to defend herself.  And she obviously could not defend herself from him when he marked her to breed.  Here is a direct
quote from Marc Sayer about Cassie told to the transporter when he had to pry her jaws of the face of the woman who came to help him
with the puppies because he wanted to get rid of the evidence of his "Breeding": The owner (Marc Sayer) stated to me, “She always bites
and hangs on when she fights with other dogs.  Because she is dog aggressive, I have to physically pry her jaws loose from the other dogs.
That is why she has all the scars on her face. They are from dog bites. See, she has a new one there besides an old one on this side and a
 few on the other side.”

So you can see that she was still being bitten and fought with throughout her entire pregnancy.  Her entire lifetime was one big fight all
caused by this man - and then she died as a result of it!  She came as an innocent puppy, she was sweet and loving, this was not the life
any innocent deserves!  They deserve to be loved and protected, not used and abused!
The story doesn't end here.  The remaning non white puppies and Cassie, the dog who just bit this woman twice on the face and once onthe arm, right in front of Marc Sayer, were immediately moved right after the bite to another state. Which is also a violation of the quarantine
laws.  If a dog bites, and Cassie bit three times in front of Marc Sayer, she should not have been moved for ten days in each instance, that
 is
the law in most states.   The fact that Marc Sayer had no rabies certificate for her makes this even more a crime.  He violated the quarantine
laws and did not even have shot records for a dog in his care for her entire lifetime!.

You can read story after story, he took other dogs from Breeders and transported them to other states when they had accidental breedings
too and he was not able to afford to pay for their spay and neuters.  And look at his website, more dogs stay with him for life than are ever
adopted to good homes.  Where are all the puppies he bred listed.  Maybe he sells them as something other than rescues.  This year he
managed to only adopt ONE dog and even that poor dog has been in his rescue since a little puppy and is now 2 years old.  For what
                      purpose.
It could have had a home and a family for two years.

Reputable rescues adopt puppies as puppies and give the adopters support to help them raise them and have a wonderful home.  They do
not keep them for years of fighting and biting and breeding and ABUSE.  Look at Chyna's story .  Her ears were so tattered from two years
of being ripped by other dogs - for what purpose?
Read about "Ginger" on the very last page of this letter.  Ginger and too many others are still at the Deaf Dane Rescue with Marc Sayer andshe has been there for TWO YEARS - She is also living out her entire life in the "On Hold" box on Marc Sayer's website just as Cassie did -
please help her before it is too late for her like it is now for Cassie.

This loser needs to be shut down and at least there can be some justice for the memory of these poor dogs and puppies who have died at
his hands and as a result of his actions.  And hopefully the others can be saved from his care so that they do not have the same fate.
Email this to as many people as you can and have them write to the Lane County Animal Control and request that Marc Sayer
 be
investigated NOW and shut down for inhumanely murdering these newborn innocent puppies and causing their mother to
 die,
for violating the quarantine and for placing dangerous dogs in homes with children who were attacked and who could
 have
been killed by his poor judgment.

This is a dangerous situation that needs to be ended for the safety of the dogs and public .  Please send your letters and emails and direct
your phone calls to his current Animal Control as they are in the best position to stop him now before he is able to run again.

Please send your letters, emails and direct your hopefully MANY phone calls to :

 Program Manager
 Lane County Animal Regulation Authority

Please also send this information to as many other shelters, newspapers and wherever else you can so that all
are aware of what this man has done to abuse these sweet deaf and blind animals
and so that he will not be able
to obtain any more dogs to abuse.

Marc Bred a "RESCUE" dog that he had in rescue over a year. on 5-10-06 he culled 4 puppies while on the phone with ME personally. He sent us the pups to cover up his dirty little secret. Marc admitted to his own animal control officer that he bred
                                      and
killed 4 pups at his own hands.

It would seem to me that Marc has lied to all of us. And I for 1 will not die peacefully until he is stopped! It became
personal for me but then again I am the only one that herd the puppies screaming! Everyone on these list at some point said "they were an advocate of Danes or dogs". If your proclaim it....... you
should be it........ even if it is uncomfortable. I will scream the words MARC KILLED PUPPIES WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH ME! I do Crime Scene Clean up for a living, I have been a foster parent to 28 kids, I have been a CASA Guardian ad Litem
for 8 years and the day that Marc held a puppy to the phone and said "HELP ME JEANNIE HELP ME" was the straw
                                      that
broke my back. This is not an issue of Deaf Dane Rescue vs Gentle Giants......... These are 2 separate issues.    At some point Marc was irresponsible! He watched the dogs bred
 He welped a litter
 He killed 4 puppies!

                        | Knowing these dog's are no longerwith Marc
PRICE-LESS Marc is no angel he has a few acres, no running water, the dogs are in a garage (no heat, no air). He is living in a travel trailer while his home is being built. The dogs are all kept together, even the un-altered! They are forced to work out their own differences in the pack. He is using Dane Train to run pups from California Breeders to him in Oregon. And then he doesn't have them altered? Marc recently had an accidental breeding. He smothered the lives of 4 white puppies as they were born, while I was personally on the phone with him. The female was 18 months old and had been in his rescue on his website since she was a very young puppy! When the pups were 1 week old we sent an experienced Dane breeder to Oregon a mere 500 miles each way. Why? because Marc asked us once again for help.
In the end Cassie bit our volunteer in the face and on the arm in front of Marc. Animal Control was called to assist, using 2 poles to remove her. Cassie had to be euthanized the next day as no one was able to even get near her.

Cassie was suffering from Kennel Cough when she arrived. Due to the stress one of the pups has died from phenomia.

We ask on behalf of Cassie, her 2 puppies we are nursing every 2 hours, Tiergan the dog we tried so hard to save. MAKE THIS NONSENSE STOP!  Do not continue to support the websites that bash Gentle Giants.
This is not helping Danes. It is simply ruing the reputation of not only our breed but the word rescue in general. And you are all believing in something that doesn't exist. Marc is a redneck hillbilly, with a few teeth, who doesn't bathe and he breeds his rescue dogs. Who knew? Signed Marc's biggest supported for 5 years. I too was fooled by Marc. Jeannie Laub

IN ADDITION You will never live this down at least, in my eyes. No more we, no more hiding behind lawyers, this is truly I, Jeannie Laub will not tolerate your fowl actions. This dog was allowed to be in rescue for over 1 1/2 years with out being spayed, she was allowed to breed and allowed to whelp puppies that Marc then killed.  Jeannie Laub Hannibal's mom just a white Dane who died in Feb, 2006 *Marc can not / has not provided us a Rabies Certificate as he can't produce it?

PICTURES http://www.danegang.org/id159.html Information concerning dog bites on Tuesday, May 15, approximately 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the A&W Drive Inn in Oakridge, Oregon. There was one witness in the restaurant that came out to check on me. She was a thin blond about 55 years old wearing a boot
cast on her right leg. There were other patrons and workers in the restaurant at the time.
Mark put the dog in the back of my vehicle that had a metal barricade between the front and open back area of a Jeep Cherokee. He put the puppies in a crate in the back of my vehicle.
While I was petting the dog, it lunged and bit me from the back of my vehicle where it had been placed for transportation to a Great Dane Rescue. Mark had to pry the dog’s jaws off of my arm. At that time he stated I had blood running down my face. I had been bitten
 in less
than a second on both my face and right fore arm. At that time I had gone into shock and did not know it. (My doctor informed
 me of this.)
The owner, Mark, stated to the dog, “This is going to make it much harder to place you with a family.” The owner stated to me, “She always bites and hangs on when she fights with other dogs.  Because she is dog aggressive, I have to physically pry her jaws loose from the other dogs. That is why she has all the scars on her face. They are from dog bites. See, she has
a new one there besides an old one on this side and a few on the other side.”
He said, “I will be at this number for the next few hours if you need to reach me.” I stated that would put me about 100 miles away. He said, “Well, you might need to call me and if you do, I will be at this number.”
The owner had no concern with leaving this dog with me. The owner had no concern with my well-being. This owner released this dog to
me with no shot records or paperwork. The owner never contacted me to check on my well being after the attack. The owner had my
                              cell phone number.
The owner was dirty, stunk, had bad breath and was driving a pickup in disrepair. The dog was dirty, stunk and was covered with scars.
The dog was quite visibly blind except for limited sight in its right eye. The dog was completely deaf. I believe the dog lived by its sense
of smell and when it could no longer smell its odiferous owner it was terrified and became vicious in an attempt to protect its puppies.
This irresponsible owner said the dog was 18 months old. There is no excuse for her not being spayed and especially for her being bred
and whelped.  This owner is not responsible and should not be allowed to portray himself as a Rescue organization when he allows
                              breeding
(apparently he has a breeding male) instead of spay/neuter and harbors a vicious dog that should have been put down for the
                              safety of other
dogs and humans and itself. While traveling, the dog lunged at me numerous times. I offered food and water that resulted in vicious lunges at me. I wrapped a blanket behind my head to protect myself from her lunges at the barricade. Animal control and my husband insisted I stay in the vehicle as they
removed the dog from my vehicle by the use of 2 choke poles. The dog almost broke the window out of my vehicle by lunging at people
outside the vehicle. Animal control insisted Jeannie at GDR was in the vehicle during this removal, also.
My doctor has examined me. I do not have a doctors report. I have been given a tetanus shot and oral antibiotics for the dog bites. I am anxiously waiting the results of the rabies test on the dog.

 | Marc took Cassie in as a young puppy. Now she's 18 months, bred by "BO" a Harlequin male currently at Marc's "rescue"

Marc allowed 2 Danes to breed Marc allowed a blind / deaf dog with kennel couch to whelp pups Marc culled 4 puppies while on the phone with us (Just because they were white)   Marc asked us to help him We drove 500 miles each way We had a volunteer bit in the face and arm   We had to have the dog put to sleep to be tested for Rabies (Marc won't provide a Rabies certificate) We had to have her put to sleep because she was so vicious as a result of not being properly socialized while in Marc's care and also because she was in so many fights and her many wounds and scars show that she was attacked often in his rescue, it was second nature for her to bite and that made her dangerous. She would not have had to be put down had he not so ruined her by keeping her with him in that terrible environement
of fighting and biting for her entire lifetime.
Her face showed the many scars. Sadly she was never rewarded with a home of her own, because of him! We have already lost 1 puppy and the other one is being hospitalized. We have spent enough money covering up Marc's dirty secrets!   __________________________________________________ Marc Sayer wrote:   Gender- female ·           Age - ·           DOB - 11/20/04 ·           Height  at the shoulder - unk ·           Weight - ·           Spayed/Neutered - not yet ·           Taken in on  - 4/24/05 ·           Available as of - 8/24/05 ·           Housebroken - working on it ·           Obedience trained - not yet ·           Good with other dogs - yes

a care in the world. She is well behaved and very affectionate. But she
 is also very vocal
and demanding, as most pups this age are. Cassie, short for
 Cassandra, came to
us from her breeders. She is your typical 5 month
 old puppy.

PLEASE! don't belittle Cassie's experience! You can believe what you want about Marc......... it will however be at the expense of the Danes.... YOU ALL PROCLAIM TO LOVE! The point is Marc Bred a "RESCUE" dog that he had in rescue over a year. and then on 5-10-06 he culled 4 puppies while on the phone
                      with ME personally.

He sent us the pups to cover up his dirty little secret.

Marc admitted to his own animal control officer that he bred and killed 4 pups at his own hands.

It would seem to me that Marc has lied to all of us. And I for 1 will not die peacefully until he is stopped! It became personal for
 me but
                      then again I am
the only one that herd the puppies screaming! I am the one who took care of Tiergan (the Gentle Giants
 dog this all
                      started over) and
                      I am the one
taking care of the puppies he bred.

Everyone on these list at some point said "they were an advocate of Danes or dogs". If your proclaim it....... you should be
 it........ even
                      if it
is uncomfortable. It was hard for me to stand by and watch what Marc has done, I will not stand any longer!
 I will scream the words
                      MARC KILLED
PUPPIES WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH ME!

I do Crime Scene Clean up for a living, I have been a foster parent to 28 kids, I have been a CASA Guardian ad Lit em for 8
 years and the
day that Marc held a puppy to the phone and said "HELP ME JEANNIE HELP ME" was the straw that broke my back.

 | Angel & Remmington came to us from Marc also! Why? Because Angel a beautiful Harl cropped female was given to Marc by a breeder. Why, because she didn't pass her
                              OFA
and needed a new home. You should know that Dane Train arranged this transport. In the end Marc allowed Angel to breed and could not afford to have her spayed. We went running once again, took both
dogs, they were altered immediatly to stop the process Marc had started. The dog's were adopted by us, to loving homes. |

                                  | As you can finally see the truth, Gentle Giants rescued Tiergan and gave him wonderful care. It has all been a lie fabricated by Marc Sayer,
the same person who just bred a blind and deaf dog that was in his rescue since a little puppy and he killed four of her puppies with his
own hands and he is also responsible for Tiergan's death. Read the story at the link or see the reprint below.  It is so horrible to think
that if one person tells a lie and a bunch of people believe it and start giving it credibility, it can blow out of proportion and actually seem
                                    like the truth. That  is what happened here, but it was little more than that;
a big lie, a false story and a great injustice, both to Tiergan
and to the great rescue group Gentle Giants that actually saved his life, loved
and cared for him and is still mourning his loss.
This whole story was little more <>than a lie with the victim being this sweet loving dog Tiergan and all of us who
believed in Marc. Though we all screen as well as we can, it </>is sad when Adopters violate the contract and in this case with the aid of
                                    a supposed "rescue,"
this poor dog paid with his life and all of us followed Marc like sheep against a fellow rescuer who was only trying
to save the life of their dog.
<>Because Tiergan was prevented from getting any care for that critical month or more by Marc Sayer, poor Tiergan never
                                  had
a chance! Because of Marc Sayer, Tiergan arrived here already too late to be saved! His death was caused by the same
                                man who
killed those four innocent puppies that he bred with his own hands!</>

"Luke"/"Tiergan" was in a shelter in Northern California . Just about every Great Dane Rescue group in Northern California was called by this shelter and not one even responded to take him. Finally, the shelter called Gentle Giants in Southern California. The shelter described his condition at the time he was turned in as having a leg that had limited functionality though he did use it and it did help him get around. Gentle Giants was the only group who would take him out of the shelter. Gentle Giants transports Great Danes from Northern California at a high cost regularly because no other Northern CA rescues will take them, just like no other rescue was willing to take "Luke"/"Tiergan" out of the shelter. Because "Luke" was very ill with kennel cough and near pneumonia at the time, he was waived for surgery, per California law, by the veterinarian at the shelter. Gentle Giants sent a driver to get "Luke," and he was brought back to Gentle Giants where he was immediately examined by several vets, heartworm tested, etc. One of their expert vets was voted "BEST Veterinarian in the Inland Empire for 2004." "Luke" then spent a month at Gentle Giants being cared for and treated while he recovered. Further exams were done and "Luke"/"Tiergan" spent a week to ten days at the hospital for an orthopedic evaluation regarding his leg. It was determined that sometimes the foot could find the ground, sometimes it couldn't, but it was altogether a better prognosis for "Luke" to keep his leg. After "Luke" completely recovered, he was neutered and reexamined, and it was the final decision of the vets involved that "Luke"/"Tiergan" would be better off keeping his leg than having it removed. He was healthy and happy, and was given a little shoe to protect his toes for those times the nerves could not perceive the ground and they dragged ever so slightly. He was so capable with his leg that he was able to use it to stand up on both legs and put his paws on people's shoulders. He jumped around and played like a puppy. He was adopted from Gentle Giants and was in perfect health and looking and feeling happy and healthy. Gentle Giants is the only rescue that came through to save him, and they were prepared to pay whatever was necessary to help him. And they did have significant expenses! When they saw this happy puppy with his adoptive family, nothing else matters!   Here is an email from Luke/Tiergan's adopters saying how he is strong and doing great when they first adopted him from Gentle Giants:   Hi Tracy!   Well, Day One and "Luke" is doing wonderful!   We are thinking of renaming him "Donovan" which means 'dark warrior' or "Tiergan" which means 'strong' (because he IS strong!). You can tell he's unsure of his surroundings, at the moment, but he's settling in quickly.   I emailed the general adoptions addy, but figured you might give a quicker response to this address. What was "Snuffy" the Saint's, adoption fee? Just curious- my husband really enjoyed playing with him.   Thank you so much for all of your time last night- I have never seen such a beautiful group of furkids in one area!   We had a ton of fun playing with the dogs and meeting you and Burt.   Hope to get pics to you soon of Luke settling in here in Vegas.   Trish & Jeremy   Sadly, the story, however did not have a happy ending: Luke/Tiergan was healthy and beautiful at the time of adoption and it is clear from their own emails written above that the family adopting him was very happy too. He was a confident and outgoing dog who loved everyone and who was never handicapped in his heart and got around wonderfully! While his leg did not have full function, he used it and was fast and agile. And the way he used his leg at the time was in a manner that it rarely ever was in a position to hinder him and in fact only made him stronger. He was so capable with his leg that he was able to use it to stand and put his paws on people's shoulders and jumped around and played like a puppy. He was adopted April 11th from Gentle Giants and was in perfect health and looking and feeling happy and healthy. Unfortunately the family who adopted him seems to have committed true abuse and neglect to let a sweet healthy young dog fall into such disrepair and worse yet, to then try to blame it on the rescue that they got him from is ludicrous. The vet who examined and x-rayed and neutered him for Gentle Giants was voted one of the top vets that year. The family called and talked to Gentle Giants for weeks after the adoption saying how happy they were and what a wonderful dog he was. As can be seen from the emails above, they thought the Gentle Giants dogs were so beautiful and healthy and happy and they were so happy with Luke/Tiergan that just the day after adopting him , they were already considering driving back from Las Vegas to adopt another Gentle Giants dog! They sent several more emails about adopting this Saint Bernard that they met there as a friend for Luke/Tiergan and Gentle Giants had begun discussions about that which continued until the Saint Bernard was adopted along with another Great Dane to a family who drove to Gentle Giants from Arizona and adopted two dogs from them and both are doing great there, too. Not once were any problems brought up ever about Luke /Tiergan. Several months later, after getting an infection while in his Adopters' home and not being treated for a whole month because of Marc Sayer, Tiergan lost his leg and ultimately his life. Tiergan got infected at the Adopters' home and the Adopters could not afford to care for him. Instead of calling GG for help, they called Marc Sayer. Marc convinced the Adopters NOT to return Tiergan to GG, even though GG would have taken him back and cared for him. Marc left him infected for a month while he plotted against GG and "arranged a transport." He put Tiergan's life on hold for his own selfish, self-serving purposes. Tiergan became septic in that month with no care and that is why he had to lose his leg . . .   ALL BECAUSE OF MARC SAYER AND HIS ADOPTERS GIVING HIM NO CARE FOR A MONTH, NOT BECAUSE OF GG!   This is why Rescues require that their dogs be returned to the rescue if the adopters can't keep them. We at Idaho Great Dane Rescue apologize to Gentle Giants for not givng them the chance to save the dog that they cared for so well.   Tracy Ward begged repeatedly at the time to return Tiergan to them and that they would fly him back to their vets at their own expense, and that they would have paid for all of his medical needs and saved him from whatever those people had done to him.   We were unable to return Tiergan due to his urgent need for medical care.   In addition we believed all the lies that Marc Sayer had told about Gentle Giants and were not sure what to believe. Well, it has all been verified now. Tiergan really was cared for and vet checked by GG, and we have his medical records to prove it. This whole story was little more than a lie with the victim being this sweet loving dog Tiergan and all of us who believed in Marc. Though we all screen as well as we can, it is sad when Adopters violate the contract and in this case with the aid of a supposed "rescue," this poor dog paid with his life and all of us followed Marc like sheep against a fellow rescuer who was only trying to save the life of their dog.   Because Tiergan was prevented from getting any care for that critical month or more by Marc Sayer, poor Tiergan never had a chance! Because of Marc Sayer, Tiergan arrived
here already too late to be saved! His death was caused by the same man who killed those
four innocent puppies that he bred with his own hands!

                                          | Tug is a beautiful fawn neutered male. He is AKC registered, has had his dew claws removed and his ears cropped. He has lived with the same
family all his life. He is very timid and does not deal well with strangers
at this time. We will be working with him and evaluating him over the next
few weeks. He is UTD on all his
shots and is microchipped. Despite his timidity, he has adapted well to being moved into a home full of Danes
and he has not snapped at or gotten aggressive with either me or my wife. In fact he is very sweet and loving
when he can screw up the courage
                                            to let us pet him.

Well, Tug's been with us for a few days now. He is really starting to come out of his shell. He such a sweet,
affectionate dog. He is still not
good with strangers, and probably never will be all that good with them. But
he is going to make someone a wonderful pet. He is so well trained,
and so obedient. And he just wants
someone to love him and be there for him. He is fine with all the dogs here, including all the males. He is a
 bit
inept socially with the other dogs. He frequently tries to get them to play but doesn't quite know how to
go about it. He tends to come on a bit
strong and this discourages the others from playing, but he is slowly
learning. The only other dog in his life before this was an older Dachshund,
so a house full of Danes is
something totally new for him. He is a good protector and excellent watchdog, but he is not going to be
 good
outdoors. Like most Danes, he is a housepuppy. Overall, despite his timidity, he is a great dog. And
once he decides you are okay and starts to
bond with you, he is going to be a super companion. He is not
an aggressive or dangerous dog in any way, however he will need an owner who
                                            understands he is not the
sort of dog you just let strangers come up to, or let the local neighbor kids play with unsupervised. More
 for his emotional
well being than for the safety of the strangers or kids, however he will scare the pants
off some people. Tug needs an owner with lots of Dane
experience and some familiarity with "aggressive"
dogs. Tug is definitely not a set and forget kind of dog, as so many Danes are. OTOH with his
                                            family he is
the typical Dane, devoted, loving and very affectionate. He likes to stay near you, preferring to be in the
same room with you, but he
isn't your typical velcro dog. He doesn't need constant petting, he just wants
to keep you in sight. He will happily lay on "his" bed at the other side
of the room and not bother you. But
if you leave the room, he will be right there with you.

He has beautiful light colored eyes, almost a fawn color. I know this is not the preferred color, but they are
truly striking. He is a very handsome
                                            dog.

This SCARES me-Any dog that you have to put this kind of warning on should not have been placed
to begin with. WHY are you adopting out a dog that you YOURSELF say is a DANGEROUS DOG?
Tug has aggression issues with strangers and must be treated as a dangerous dog. This SCARES me

WHY are you adopting out a dog that you YOURSELF say is a DANGEROUS DOG?  Here are more
responses. All of them VERY UPSET with Marc Sayer for breaking the code of rescue and adopting out a

dangerous dog that could not be corrected of attacking people.  And to make matters worse, a young boy's

life was risked by this adoption. Marc Sayer then blamed the Adopter for what had been done and

labeled her as a Do Not Adopt.  Meaning that he told every Rescue that they should NOT adopt a dog to her as

a result of his bad judgement for what he had done in adopting out a dog that was a dangerous dog with

aggressions issues. He based this on the fact that the poor woman was afraid of the dangerous dog

after it attacked her son three times and she did not want to drive six or more hours back to Marc Sayer

in the car with him.  When Marc Sayer got there to pick up the dog, it was twitching and aggressive to Marc's

wife and to all the other people who were there at the time as well. It had been taken to a and they deemed

it a very dangerous dog.  Here are the additional responses:

Marc No one lost the issue of her being a DNA, but I see now that the OTHER issue of placing aggressive

That all doesn't matter, IMO.  As described, the dog should have never been adopted in the first place. That makes all the rest a moot point to me. If I adopted a dog that lunged at one of my kids, had I any,
I too, would be taking him to the shelter. Why risk a serious injury or death?

Below Marc blames the woman for what happened but as you can see from the responses, the other rescues think he is very wrong in his actions:      the problems were her own fault, and that sending him to the pound would be very traumatic for him.
Again, adopting out an aggressive dog as he was described, would have been the traumatic part for

him.  Once they have the behavior first shown, it is hard to extinguish it forever. Any new move or

situation will bring it out. sharing too much info with anyone distracted them from the real issue. I just do

not want the real issue to get lost in a cloud of discussion about what is in fact a side issue. I don't think

any of the issues discussed were "side issues." All of what was said and done *does* affect all of us
as rescue organizations. Do you have an insurance policy?  Would they have agreed with the
adoption? I highly doubt it. And believe me, you would have been dropped in an instant had the

dog inflicted any injury.  I've put together an insurance panel/discussion session for our annual Rescue

Conference here in MI. I was hard put to find the 3 insurance companies I did... We need to be responsible or

we are not going to have the coverage we need to continue working in this area. I do NOT want someone

else living in my house. Think about this case very carefully, Marc.  Sandy

ANY dog that shows the aggression you have described. I can also understand your feelings for this Dane.
Personally I have had Danes like him in rescue and I do not place them up for adoption. Most people
 can not
handle a dog I deem as easy so there is no way I will place a dog I deem as aggressive with
 this many issues.
So my point being is this dog should just live his life with you and your wife. Lets
 face it few of our
adopters can handle much more then a stuffed animal so a dog with real issues
 should
                                        not be placed up for
adoption. I also will agree that there are too many nice Danes dying
everyday in shelters because of lack of
space in rescues and homes in general.

 worse,
despite supposedly having experience with dogs like this. So I
told her, no problem, just bring him
 back here
                                      to us as agreed (and
stipulated in the contract). Now we have the problem. She refuses to
                                      return the
 dog to us.
                                    At
first she says she'll drive him down to
Portland, then she says we have to come get him at the
 Everett shelter.
                                    I do
not know exactly what happened in the hours between her picking him
                                    up and her calling
 AC, but it's clear
                                    that
                                    somehow Tug had been
agitated, made to feel extremely fearful, and was
 generalizing his
                                    aggression. And
she was using that as a rationale for her refusal to
                        return him. She
 told me at first
she was going to take him
                                      to the
Everett shelter. But then it got even worse. She had an AC
 officer
                                    come
out and get him like some rabid
animal. I believe in part she
wanted to be sure she had
 an AC officer
                                          who could swear to how
                                          aggressive
the dog was, and that she set this up as a part of
 her
                                            planned
defense for when we sue her. From the
report I got from the AC
                                              officer, who was clearly
 very scared
of Tug, it sounds as though they

especially with strangers, and may attack without warning. He must
                                      always
be confined or on leash, and
                                      closely supervised, especially if he
is around strangers. He must always
 be closely monitored and supervised,
or confined in a secure crate or kennel.  _____ initial here."

This woman looks and sounds good, though she has some financial
                                                problems. She makes all the
 right
                                                noises
and says all the right things. But when it gets right down to it, apparently she could care
 less about
                                      the dogs. She
refused to give the dog the care she had promised she
                                      would and then tried hard
 to blame it all
on me and the dog. Yes the dog
did have issues, and yes he can be very scary. But she
 knew all this up
                                      front. It should not have
been unexpected.  The problem is he was scared to death by the
 time she contacted
AC, and the handling he got
                                      from her and her family
as well as from the AC officer, was
 guaranteed to absolutely
                                      send him
                                      ballistic.  I now believe
that dogs entrusted to her care are at risk,
 and are not safe.

I strongly recommend she be a DNA and I
urge all rescues to be very wary of
                                        having anything to
 do with her.

If you want the DNA's info please contact me privately.

When my wife got up there Tug was scared to death. He was hunkered in
the back of a secluded kennel
 shaking
and twitching, and would not let
                                        anyone near him.

 | We sent Marc a girl named Chyna a sweet little pup because she
was deaf. It appears to us that she was ABUSED at Marc's
 for
                                                  almost 2 years!
If you have Chyna please contact us and let us know she is ok!

                                                    | Lambchop (originally Chyna) just came to us the day after Christmas, from Idaho Great Dane Rescue.
She is under evaluation now and we will update this page as things develop. We can
                                                      tell you right now
                                                      that Lambchop
is crate trained and amazingly well potty trained for her age.
                                                      When in her crate she
                                                      cries
                                                      to be let out
when she needs to go potty. Of course she also cries
at other times too, so sometimes
                                                      we do have
                                                      false starts. And if
you don't get to her fairly
quickly, she may not be able to hold it, but
she is doing very very well
                                                      overall. She is
                                                      not so
good if left to wander the house, so we keep her
confined to a single room, or the crate
                                                      when
                                                      we can
not watch her closely. She is very affectionate
and playful, basically a typical Dane pup.
                                                      However
IGDR reported she was not so people oriented
with them. Here she has been a doll.
                                                      I think the
big difference has been the environment. We have
4 deaf pups right now and she is the largest
so she is feeling pretty safe and pleased
                                                      with herself
                                                      here. She seems pretty
secure and confident, but as with most dogs going through
                                                      the turmoil of
                                                      a change in
placement, she does not like to be left alone and will raise a ruckus.
Lambchop is a big girl for her age. Not huge as danes go, but much bigger than most of the
                                                      pups
we see. We have two pups about 6 months old right now and she is significantly bigger
                                                      than both
of them. She has a lot
of color for a deaf dog, especially around her head and ears.
                                                      But she is deaf.
                                                      She has two different
                                                      color eyes,
her left eye is blue, as many double merles'
                                                      are, but her right eye
is green, which is unusual. It is
                                                      really a
                                                      modified brown/gold, but it
looks green at first. Her eyes are
                                                      especially striking because of the
                                                      dark "mascara" all around
                                                      each eye.

Why did we change her name to Lambchop? - Well Chyna just didn't seem to fit (aside
 from
the size thing, she was in no way reminiscent of the pro wrestler Chyna) and somehow
                                                      she
reminded my wife and I of Shari Lewis' hand puppet Lambchop. And her personality is
                                                      much
                                                      more a Lambchop type too.

Update 2/12/05 - Lambchop has really grown up to be a very nice dog. She is affectionate
                                                      and trouble free.
She gets along with all the other dogs and is as reliable on her potty training
                                                      as any dog we've
                                                      ever had. Her
ears are kind of ratty as they have been torn repeatedly. They
seem to be rather fragile. They've
been torn by other dogs and even just by her shaking her
head near something and hitting her
ears. She loves to curl up
in a lap or on the couch next
to you. She is really a very sweet wonderful
girl. Someone will be very lucky to
                                                          get her.

GINGER is still at the Deaf Dane rescue with Marc Sayer and has been there for TWO YEARS - please help her before it is
too late like it is now for Cassie
Ginger was 11 months old and was given up because her owner moved and could not
take her.  TWO YEARS LATER, Marc Sayer still has her.  She was sweet and housebroken when she came .  Why has she
NOT been adopted in TWO YEARS!!!!  She is living her life in the "Oh Hold" box on Marc Sayer’s website.  Since she
arrived adoptable, being housetrained, sweet and she came there spayed.  Why was she not spayed and adopted.
Why would she have to be "On Hold" for two years???
Cassie also lived her whole life in this "On Hold" box on Marc Sayer’s website, for 18 months – her entire life SADLY!!...while she was ripped apart daily by the other dogs at Marc's "rescue," bred by Marc, had her puppies killed by Marc and
then was moved to Idaho to help cover up Marc's dirty little secrets after biting our volunteer on the face twice and the
arm right in front of Marc because she had been ruined by the abusive situation she was kept in by Marc.  We hope and
pray that Ginger does not have the same fate: That she will never have a chance at a real home of her own and that her
life will forever be "On Hold."  Thankfully since she is spayed, she at least will not be bred too, though we have to hope
that she can get out of there or else she may have no chance at being loved and having a real life and a family of her
 own like poor sweet Cassie!

The posting above has been sent all over the internet about Marc Sayer.  As stated, Marc Sayer has bred the deaf and blind rescue dogs in his care and has killed/murdered/suffocated at birth their innocent newborn puppies with his own hands.
And he did this while on the phone with a another rescuer and joked about it while the other rescuer was crying to try to
save their newborn lives. See the post again where just before smothering the puppy to death, "Marc held a puppy to the
phone and said "HELP ME JEANNIE HELP ME" :http://www.websitetoolbox.com/tool/post/danegang/vpost?id=1146606.
These puppies could have been safe and could have had wonderful lives with this other rescue he was talking with at the
time he killed them, but NO, he made sure that they were prevented from even taking a breath and he killed them while
the other rescue was begging to save them!      These posts about Marc Sayer not only show what he has done but asks
the important question of "How did this innocent dog "Cassie", the deaf and blind mother of these puppies that he killed,
benefit from being in his "rescue"?  She came as a young and innocent puppy herself to him and was sent for the purpose
of her finding a loving home, but instead, she spent her whole life there, was bred and then he killed her puppies brutally
and barbarically AND NOT TO MENTION "INHUMANELY" with his own hands.     She came as a happy innocent puppy herself
and after spending her whole life there and being abused and used by him, being beaten up by other dogs just about
every day, being bred by Marc Sayer, having her puppies killed by Marc Sayer and then she lost her life too.  We again ask
the important question, how did Cassie benefit?  She never found a home of her own and never was loved.  We would love
to see this question answered, how did Cassie benefit from being in the abusive care of Marc Sayer and with this answer,
comes the bigger question of shouldn't his lousy poor excuse for a "rescue" be shut down so that no others will have to
suffer and be used and abused as poor Cassie and the many others in his care have been used and abused by this evil man,
 Marc Sayer.

*Note - Marc Sayer is trying to use in his defense that breeding "Cassie" (who we still have not gotten the answer of how
she benefited from being in his care - since clearly we can all see that there was NO benefit!) but Marc Sayer is now saying
that breeding Cassie was an "accidental breeding". For the record, 'Rescues' are NOT allowed to have accidental breedings.
Most laws governing rescues require that non neutered dogs are separated from the other dogs until being neutered.  But,
no matter how it is examined, Marc Sayer is still LYING BIG TIME.
So, we now ask the additional questions to further expose the lies:  Tell us, Marc Sayer, when did the breeding
become an accident?  Was it an accident at the time Marc Sayer got this sweet little puppy named Cassie at 4 months
old and never spayed her for a year and a half?  Or, did it become an accident when Marc Sayer had Bo, another
                        rescue dog in his sorry
excuse for a rescue, and did NOT neuter Bo for more than a year?  Or, was it an accident
                        when Marc Sayer watched the
two dogs breed and told another rescue that it had happened?  If Marc Sayer really
                        was not intentionally breeding, why
did he not have Cassie spayed after he watched Bo breed with her?  Was it the
'accident' then, that Marc Sayer did not
have either one of them spayed and neutered?  As you can see, it was NO
ACCIDENT!  IT WAS A VERY INTENTIONAL
 BREEDING!

And it was certainly no accident that no matter what the other rescue said and how they pleaded with him, it was
                          no
 accident
that Marc Sayer would NOT spare the lives of Cassie's newborn white puppies, even though there was
                          another
 rescue that
would take them and wanted them and was assuring that these sweet newborn puppies would
                          be safe for life,
Marc Sayer REFUSED to let them live.  Marc Sayer murdered these sweet innocent newborn puppies
                          by suffocating the life
 out of them
with his own murderous two hands at the time they were born.  He admitted this
                          to his Animal Control and
 says "in his
defense" that he thought they would be blind.  SO WHAT!!!!  First of all, it is
also a lie!!! - all puppies are born
with their eyes closed and there is no way to tell at birth if a puppy will be blind
of deaf or not!  And most white puppies
are NOT blind, some are deaf   - and they are just as sweet as any other
puppies - and blind dogs can have happy lives too
as you can see on many websites.  But you cannot tell at birth
whether they are deaf or blind or can see and hear.  All
puppies at birth have an equal chance at that.  This
murderer killed them without giving them any chance.  Because it was
an INTENTIONAL breeding and Marc Sayer
was "In control" like most lousy breeders and he was "Culling" the puppies.
When he talked to the other rescuer
on the phone he told her he was "culling puppies on his 50th birthday"  Sadly the
sweet babies never made it to
their two day birthday thanks to him.  And the mother of the puppies is dead.  She should
 have been spayed when
he got her as a puppy and found a great home.  This man is a control freak who will not let any
 puppy go home
until after spending two years in his rotten fight and bite atmosphere poor excuse for a "rescue".  The
 poor mom
'Cassie " was covered with wounds and scratches. She was fought with and beaten every day of her sad
 existence
there and then Marc Sayer bred her and then she died.  This sorry excuse for a rescue should be shut down
 to save
the dogs from having to spend an average two years in Marc Sayer's "care" when they could instead be in homes
as puppies and grow up with families.  Marc Sayer has non neutered dogs at all times interacting and fighting and
                        breeding
 and biting.
We are still trying to see how Cassie benefited and we have already proven she did NOT and have also proven that,
even if it were acceptable, which it is NOT, this was NO accidental breeding.  This was done intentionally and the
                        only thing that
went wrong for the puppy killer breeder Marc Sayer is that he was caught in the act!  Now we all
just have to sit back and
figure out what kind of punishment would be suitable for the crimes Marc Sayer has
                        committed.  Hopefully the readers here
will contact Marc Sayers's animal control listed above and demand
punishment for Marc Sayer's crimes against Cassie and
her puppies and for Marc Sayer's crimes against the
concept of rescue, which has never been breeding and killing, neither
 by accident nor by intention!

Here is one suggested comment posted to an internet forum after Marc Sayer's breeding and killing of his rescue
                        dogs had
 been exposed:

No rescue can valalidate keeping un-altered dogs for any reason.  If it isn't affordable ask for donations or go to a vet willing
to donate time and services-they do exist.  Don't take on more than you can help or you have become the exact enemy you
                          are trying to protect
animals from!!!  Aren't there state or local laws that govern a facility housing that many animals??? In
                          that kind of environment??  I
know in FLorida, dogs are supposed to be registered with city animal control and rabies shots
(and spay/neuter ) are mandatory if pets
are found loose.  Maybe Marc's fence should get cut and these dogs dissappear
into the night....aka good homes...  If he can get away
with illegal acts, why can't those concerned?? What's he gonna do??
Get off the keyboard and get out your wire cutters!!!!   I would
in a heartbeat.  C'mon, we all know our judicial system is a
joke, so if you're that driven- go get the dogs!!!  If I was there I would lead
the 'rescue' myself.  We threw tea in the sea,
ignoring unknown repercussion possibilities,  but we can't nab some dogs????  What is
 your plan exactly???? just keep
posting bad press about him??? Sorry if I offend you , but I couldn't rest with this info on my mind.
 PLEASE DO
SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will travel if need be.....
